The beginning…

Hi, I’m Thomas, based in Sydney, Australia. Ever since that very first keynote on January 9, 2007, I’ve been utterly passionate (and perhaps a bit obsessed) with everything Apple. For years, I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time poring over Apple-related news and rumours websites, and I’ve faithfully watched every keynote, usually multiple times. If you’re a diehard fan, you’ll know that getting up at 3 a.m. Sydney time to watch the latest iPhone or Mac announcement is definitely not for the faint of heart!

I was also fortunate enough to be part of the Apple Store team for a few years, which only fuelled my passion.

After several years following the latest Apple news, I wanted to create a space to share my thoughts on Apple and the technology landscape as a whole. I wanted to create a community where like-minded individuals could discuss their shared passion.

While there are rumour sites out there, and I have immense respect for the dedicated journalists who work in this space, The Apple Orbit is not primarily focused on securing the latest rumours (at this point). Instead, it’s an area where we can reflect on the ongoing commentary of the latest Apple news, tech, and products.

My intention is to launch a new YouTube channel in conjunction with this site as well.
